With a learning track, you can bundle different learning interventions such as microlearnings, online trainings, internal events, and external trainings. This helps you provide structure and guidance within your academy’s learning offerings.
When Do You Use a Learning Track?
A learning track can be used:
Based on a job profile
As a development track
In preparation for an (external) training
Creating a New Learning Track
In the LMS, go to Library > Learning Tracks.
Click Create a learning track in the top-right corner.
Give the learning track a name.
Choose a Flexible or Sequential structure.
Click Create.
After that, you can further configure the learning track:
Add a description and learning objectives
Add learning interventions

Flexible or Sequential?
Sequential learning track: employees must complete the learning interventions in a fixed order.
Flexible learning track: employees can complete learning interventions in any order.
You can also set optional items.
⚠️ Note:
Only required learning items count toward completion.
Optional learning items remain visible under To do, but do not need to be completed.
Example: In a flexible learning track, all learning items are required, but they can be completed in any order.
Structuring Your Learning Track
To create more clarity in your learning track:
Add titles to group learning items
Drag and drop titles and learning items to change the order
A maximum of 48 learning items per learning track
Setting Deadlines
Assign a deadline to a learning item
Add notifications: employees receive an email a few days before the deadline
Deadlines are calculated per employee from the moment of assignment
Example: If you assign a learning track on January 1 with a duration of 3 weeks, the deadline will be January 21.
You can also choose to set a fixed deadline per employee.

Other Settings
Via the Settings tab, you can:
Manage the visibility of the learning track
Exclude specific teams from visibility
Add labels and categories
Set whether employees can leave a rating

Additional Options
Add an introductory video (max. 60 seconds, hosted via Vimeo)
Link a certificate to the learning track with a personal message
Add a custom email message to assignment and reminder emails
⚠️ These options do not apply to self-initiated learning or if the employee does not have an email address.
