What Is the Difference Between a Flexible and a Sequenced Learning Track?

Modified on Thu, 15 Jan at 2:01 PM

When creating a learning track, you choose between a flexible or sequenced structure. This choice is final and cannot be changed after the learning track has been created.

⚠️ Important: The choice between Flexible or Sequenced is made when creating the learning track and cannot be changed afterward.

Flexible Learning Track

In a flexible learning track:

  • Employees can complete learning interventions in any order

  • Not every learning intervention has to be mandatory

  • You can set optional learning interventions, for example as an addition to required items or for a specific target group

  • The learning track is marked as completed once all required learning items have been completed

ℹ️ Optional learning interventions remain visible under To do in the employee’s learning overview, even after the learning track has been completed.

Sequenced Learning Track

In a sequenced learning track:

  • Employees complete learning interventions in a fixed, linear order

  • All learning interventions are mandatory

  • The learning track is only marked as completed once all components have been completed
