When you’ve made changes to a course in an external authoring tool, you can easily update the SCORM package in Studytube. This ensures your content always stays up to date for your employees.
Updating a SCORM Package
In the LMS, go to the relevant online training.
Click Update SCORM package.
Upload the new version of the .zip file.
A pop-up will appear where you determine what should happen to users’ progress.
What Happens to Employees’ Progress?
When updating the SCORM package, the system asks:
“When should we reset users to the new version?”
You have four options:
Always. The progress of all users is reset to zero, regardless of whether they have already started or completed the training. Everyone must start again.
Never. The progress of all users is retained. New users will automatically start with the new version.
When the current registration is not completed. Only users who have started but not yet completed the training are reset. Completed registrations remain unchanged.
When the current registration is completed. Only users who have completed the training are reset. The progress of users who have started but not yet finished remains unchanged.
Once the update is complete, the new version of the training is immediately available according to the selected settings.
