What Are Variables?
Our email templates use variables (e.g., @first_name) to personalize your messages automatically.
Variables make your emails dynamic and personal by automatically inserting each learner’s individual information (like name, course, or certificate link), saving time and ensuring consistent, error-free communication across all templates.
When an email is sent, these placeholders are replaced with the learner’s actual data.
Here is an example:
| Template Example | Sent Email Example |
|---|---|
Dear @first_name | Dear Anna, |
Welcome to @academy_name! | Welcome to Studytube Academy! |
Your training @"training_name" starts on @training_schedule. | Your training "First Aid Basics" starts on Monday, 22 July at 09:00. |
How Variables Work
Each variable corresponds to a specific field in your Studytube environment — such as the learner’s name, the course title, or the certificate URL.
The variable always starts with @.
Variables pull information from the system — such as user details, training information, or academy data.
Each variable refers to a specific field or attribute in the database.
