SCORM, which stands for Shareable Content Object Reference Model, refers to a set of technical standards specifically designed for e-learning content. If you create an online course with an external tool, you can often export it as a SCORM package. This package can then be effortlessly imported into Studytube, making the course accessible to your employees via the learning portal. By importing SCORM packages into Studytube, you ensure a centralized and easily accessible learning offer for your team. For more details, see the FAQ article 'How do I upload a SCORM package?'.

How do I update a SCORM package?

Updating a SCORM package in Studytube is a simple process. Open the relevant online course within the LMS and select 'Update SCORM package'. This ensures that your employees always have access to the most recent version of the course.

What happens to my employee’s learning progress when updating a SCORM package?

When clicking ‘Update SCORM package’, the following pop-up is shown:

The system asks: When should we reset users to the new version?

There are four options to choose from:

  1. Always
The progress of all users that started or finished the online training, will be reset to zero. All users need to start from the very beginning.

  2. Never
The progress of all users that started or finished the online training, remains the same. When a new learner starts the online course, they will see the updated SCORM training and not the old version.

  3. If existing registration is incomplete
The progress is only reset to zero, for users that started the course but did not finish it. The progress of users that already finished the course remains the same.

  4. If existing registration is complete
The progress is only reset to zero, for users that finished the course. The progress of users that started the course but did not finish it, remains the same.
