DTA - Settings management

Modified on Tue, 12 Sep, 2023 at 11:26 AM

Via the 'DTA Settings' option in the LMS, you can manage various settings relating to the Digital Learning Intermediary.

This includes options relating to uploading courses and the visibility thereof as well as permitting that a provider only makes external offers available for your academy. This also includes the option to cancel a request, the importance of the billing terms of and the option to link to a study costs scheme.

Provider content settings

Here you can manage the uploading of external content and the visibility of that content. Providers are regularly added to the platform, by subscribing to new providers they will also automatically be added to your academy. You can also opt to immediately make the courses of these new providers visible.

If a provider has exclusively developed specific courses and/or content for your organisation, the provider can add these to the content in their provider environment and make them exclusively available for your academy. To set this, choose the 'Yes' option and add the provider(s) who may offer external content specifically for your academy.

All options can be switched on and off.

Settings for a request

After a user makes a request from the academy an approval flow will be started. Depending on the set-up of the approval flow, there is a lead time and various parties are involved. By switching on this setting, a user is given the option of cancelling requests for external courses. Once the request has been confirmed by the provider, they no longer have this option.

General billing terms

When the request has been accepted by the provider, the provider will receive a confirmation by email with:

  1. the details of the user and course in the email
  2. confirmation of the booking as attachment, which will include:
    1. the person requesting the course
    2. details of the course: date and price (no date is show for the type flexible training)
    3. the user’s details: name, email and any additional details
    4. optional, a custom billing line
  3. the billing terms as attachment to the email (PDF)

We recommend adding the billing terms, so that it is clear for the provider how the invoice is to be drawn up and where it is to be sent. You add them as a PDF file.

Study costs scheme

Contracts and terms apply with regard to a booking of external content. This is often explained in a study costs scheme which must be made available to a user. If the scheme is available as a PDF file, it can be added as set out below. The file will then be sent as an attachment in the communication to the user. It is also possible to link several study costs schemes to Studytube. If this is the case, this also means that managers can choose from several schemes when reviewing a request. By marking one as standard, this one will be shown first. The study costs scheme can also be downloaded from this page.
