Automatic triggers – What happens when you delete a trigger?

Modified on Tue, 13 Jan at 2:54 PM

Sometimes a trigger is no longer applicable and you want to remove it. Below you can read what the consequences are of deleting a trigger in the LMS.

Tasks in the queue

When deleting a trigger, a pop-up appears asking whether you want to skip the tasks in the queue. This is especially important if the trigger contains actions with a configured delay.

You have two options:

  • Skip all tasks in the queue
All scheduled tasks that have not yet been executed will be deleted along with the trigger.
  • Execute all tasks in the queue anyway
If you leave the checkbox unchecked, the tasks that are currently in the queue will still be executed, even though the trigger itself has been deleted.

What happens to previously assigned learning items or qualifications?

If learning items, qualifications, or budgets were assigned via a trigger in the past:

  • These will remain in place
They are not automatically revoked when you delete the trigger.
  • Do you want to revoke them anyway?
Then you need to do this manually via the LMS.
